Inc.'s "SAMPSON" is a multi-functional 28' x 10' all welded
aluminum survey/dive support vessel, custom built to our specifications
by the William E. Munson Co., Inc.
Powered by twin 200 HP outboards and
trailerable, "SAMPSON" is ideal for conducting survey/support
services and commercial diving operations both inshore and offshore.
Eason Diving frequently uses "SAMPSON" to
launch, locate and recover instrumentation in support of dredging
operations for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, consulting firms
and to support our diving operations.
Designed to deploy divers and equipment
safely and efficiently, "SAMPSON" is equipped with a dive
door and ladder on each side. The fully enclosed all-weather cabin
is ideal for monitoring the diving and/or survey operations out
of the elements.
"SAMPSON" is equipped with a port
and starboard davit for deploying our Remotely Operated Vehicle
(ROV), Simrad MS-900 underwater color sonar imaging equipment,
side scan sonar and other instrumentation from either side of the
vessel.
For conducting hydrographic surveying
and under keel clearance surveys at piers and facilities, "SAMPSON" is
outfitted with onboard Trimble NT 300D sub-meter GPS, Odom fathometer,
interfaced to HYPACK Max and AutoCad software.
With its drop down landing craft style
bow ramp and ample, unobstructed deck space, equipment can be easily
rolled in or out at boat ramps or shorelines. "SAMPSON" is
also equipped with a tow post for deployment and recovery of oil
boom in support of pollution response and training exercises.
Operated by U.S. Coast Guard licensed
